free networks are paths through the woods

paths that lead interesting places are trodden down

paths that lead no-where disappear

ideas-art-information on free networks of all kinds...

this site is to spread/share/create information about free networks and communication - community run alternatives to commercially provided internet and mobile phones. Linking existing projects, trying out new ideas, and questioning whether we even really needs this stuff at all.

and whatever else you/me/we find interesting. it can be a mixture of practical stuff and art/ideas.

An idea is to use software defined radio equipment to link different kinds of existing networks and adapt to the chaotic situations we live in.

this is a wiki (using mediawiki), please add or change stuff, put comments images links whatever... a paper version will be made at some point and distributed in different ways.
